ADOPT THE CODE

We are thrilled with the launch of the We Have Voice Code of Conduct for the Performing Arts, and excited that you are committed to creating equitable and safe(r) workplaces in the performing arts.

If you’d like to adopt the Code of Conduct as an INDIVIDUAL, here’s what to do:
1. If you have a website and would like to share the Code of Conduct on your homepage and on social media, please use this verbiage:
“[First person: I; Third person: Individual name] proudly support/s and adopt/s the We Have Voice Collective Code of Conduct,” alongside a link to “www.wehavevoice.org.”
2. If you are an artist and you’d like to use the Code of Conduct in your own contracts/riders, here is a link for the Code of Conduct to download and use as you wish.

If you’d like to be on our website’s LIST OF INSTITUTIONS, here’s what to do:
  1. Make a public announcement that your institution is adopting the We Have Voice Code of Conduct on your website AND social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.)
  2. Send us the links of said announcements (website and social media posts) to  and let us know exactly as you wish your institution’s name to be listed
  3. Upon receiving your email, we will add your institution’s name to our list/website.
  4. Adopting this code means you will ensure that all your employees/ colleagues/ collaborators or anyone involved with your organization understands this Code of Conduct.

 

Here is a link for the Code of Conduct to download and display whenever possible, as well as  a link to the CoC logo, that you can/should  use on your website and marketing materials, such as program booklets, festival announcements or in performance spaces, rehearsal and/or dressing rooms, offices, classrooms, studios, etc. Please use either one of these to promote the code on social media / website,  announce joining this initiative.
